Age limits by passport
As at 17 August 2026, French and Italian passport holders can apply from 18 to 35 inclusive. Belgian passport holders can apply from 18 to 30 inclusive. Apply before your 36th or 31st birthday, as applicable.

Other key conditions
You need an eligible passport, usually apply for your first visa from outside Australia and cannot be accompanied by dependent children. The visa normally supports a year of travel with temporary work, subject to conditions.
